Housing Co-operative

Lark Row E3

The Lark Row site is a triangular plot of approximately 346m2 bounded by the Regents Canal to the north, Lark Row to the south and 67 Vyner street to the West. It was made available for the GLA and Tower Hamlet’s self-build scheme in 2021.

POP proposed to construct a single apartment complex containing eleven units of housing with two common areas: a ground floor workspace and roof terrace/garden.

This was to be a low carbon project (during and after construction) that combined hempcrete, timber framing, solar technologies, water capture systems and growing areas. It was also a car-less development with secure cycle storage for residents and use of the wider community.

The bid was unsuccessful but we are proud of the quality and integrity of our vision.
